IPO2U.COM Sponsors Third Event of The Business for Downtown Business Seminar Series

April 18, 2003, New York, NY - Together with Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC), IPO2U.COM is co-sponsoring the Business for Downtown Business Seminar Series for the third time. The event will be held on May 1, 2003 at the Advanced Technology Center of Sprint on 9th Avenue and 16th Street in Lower Manhattan. The main theme will be focusing on marketing for small businesses. Two seminar topics, one, entitled, Marketing Is Not A Department, will be given by Ms, Deann Murphy, an experienced and successful entrepreneur, who will show the ropes of how to do marketing for small businesses. The second topic, entitled, How To Generate Hot Leads Not with Cold Calls and Spam Mails, will be given by Dr. Ifay Chang, CEO of IPO2U.COM, who will discuss his thinking and a new approach for small businesses to generate hot leads with small budget rather than relying on making cold calls and annoying email spams.

Business for Downtown Business is a virtual organization which includes anyone who is interested in helping New York Downtown Businesses to grow and expand. The idea of BDB was triggered in a networking meeting organized by Ms Nancy Ploeger, Executive Director of Manhattan Chamber of Commerce in July of 2002. It was recognized then, it would take considerable effort to revitalize the downtown businesses after the tragedy of 9-11 terrorists' attack. Dr. Chang first took the initiative to develop a "Downtown Business Calling Card" using IPO2U.COM's Mi-Card technology to promote downtown businesses and then he launched the BDB seminar series last Fall. The Downtown Business Calling Card (DBCC) is not only informative and entertaining but also useful with valuable utilities such as the click and call e-Directory. Thousands of downtown businesses are listed in two e-directories contained in DBCC. These directories are maintained on the web, hence, they are always current and can continuously and collectively promote downtown businesses.
